• The history of Haverhill, Massachusetts: from its first settlement, in 1640, to the year 1860. - George Wingate Chase, 1861 (697 pages). A graduate of Yale, the author had a great amount of research accomplished but due to his untimely death before this books publication, the town put to effort the publication of his work.
